The Samantha Riley Drive rezoning proposal will not go before this term of council.
It’s believed the proposal was not discussed at last Tuesday’s council briefing and will not be dealt with in this term as council goes into caretaker mode from tomorrow.
Neighbouring residents have strongly objected to the development proposal at 301 Samantha Riley Drive, Kellyville saying the proposal of five towers, with the tallest between 20 to 25 storeys, is "obscene" given its proximity to one and two-storey houses.
In 2011 the council voted to limit the development to eight storeys.
But councillors said the state government had indicated the site was capable of higher density given its proximity to the future North West Rail Link.
