The Block Fans Vs Faves favourites Kyal and Kara Demmrich officially opened Castle Hill Beaumont Tiles on Saturday.
Innovative touch screen tile technology is a feature of the new tile and bathroom-ware store.
Store owner Pieter Myburgh said customers can use the technology to make planning decisions.
“Scan and Play is an interactive computer terminal that allows customers to pick any tiles from the showroom and place them in a virtual room,” Mr Myburgh explained.
“You can mix and match on a touch screen to visualise bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms and laundries with the tiles of your choice, seeing the results instantly.
“Once you've perfected your design, you can print a picture of your finished room with details of your chosen tiles.”
Mr Myburgh, who has 24 years of experience in the tiling industry, said more than 1200 lines of tiles and bathroom-ware would be displayed in the showroom.
He said given the north-west sector of Sydney has been determined a growth area by the state government, with further land releases in The Ponds and surrounding suburbs earmarked, they were in a perfect position to "not only provide tiles for new homes, but also to a huge renovation market" in The Hills.
■ Castle Hill becomes the 96th store for The Beaumont Group of Shops, an Adelaide-based family-owned tiles and bathroom wares company who are sponsors of TV show The Block Glasshouse and the previous series, Fans Vs Faves.
