Hornsby Council will contribute $50,000 to upgrade the sports ground at Pennant Hills High School.

The ground is used by community organisations, including sporting groups such as Beecroft/Cherrybrook Rugby Union Club and the Hills District Cricket Association.

School principal, Geoff Wing said: ‘‘This money is very much appreciated and will help us continue to meet the needs of the community as well as our 1050 students.’’

Work will include resurfacing and installation of an irrigation tank.
