Canberra's Jason Roses may have been evicted from the Big Brother house the day before his birthday but the real estate agent still has an excuse to party.
While he won't have a chance to claim the big cash as the last housemate standing, his appearance on national television may be a helpful profile boost when he returns to his job selling houses in the territory.
Mr Roses became the eighth contestant on the reality show to be voted out of the house when he was evicted on Wednesday evening.
It is now back to reality for the joint-owner of the Luton Properties Gungahlin office, who will return to the territory next week.
He said while appearing on the national television show could attract more sellers to his office he wasn't going to count on it.
"I'd like to think that if people are going to list their houses with me they're going to do it because they know I'm going to do a good job," Mr Roses said.
"I think a bit of a profile's always a healthy thing so I'm sure there might be some extra people out there but I'm not counting on it.
"Once I get back to work it's going to be head down, bum up and hit the ground running."
Mr Roses, who was the territory's second ever Big Brother housemate, said he was thankful for the once in a lifetime opportunity and felt he presented himself on the show "warts and all".
"It was really important for me to go on the show being 100 per cent me," he said.
"I wanted to walk out of this show whenever it was, being proud that I showed Australia who I was warts and all and I think I accomplished that – there was no smoke and mirrors."
Mr Roses said while some of the housemates had gone in seeking fame and fortune he had just wanted the experience.
But he said if little things were thrown his way because of it "it's a nice cherry on top".
"A lot of people have been saying that maybe The Block should consider me to be an auctioneer because apparently the results weren't that great," Mr Roses said.
"Hopefully they've seen my auction and they're like, we want Jason!"
Mr Roses said he was likely to take a couple of days to settle back in and then it was back to work selling houses.
Luton Properties principal Richard Luton was meeting the now 27-year-old in Sydney on Thursday to celebrate his birthday.
Mr Roses said the team had been very supportive and thought he might stay in the house a bit longer.
"I would have loved to have been there for longer ... [but] I'm happy walking out now – there's only four weeks left so that's going to go in a split second so I'm going to cheer on everyone in the house now," he said.
