NOVA Employment is challenging other businesses in the area to help create 100 jobs for workers with disabilities in 100 days.
The second month of Nova Employment's 100 jobs in 100 days campaign has smashed an employment record set a year ago.
The previous milestone, set in 2013 when 13 people were placed into jobs in a month, was beaten by the 17 clients who found jobs last month.
Nova's current jobs barometer sits at 75.
Nova's Richmond manager Kerry Spindler explained the organisation's mission: "The task at hand is new job-seekers — people who have a disability and want to look for employment," she said.
"Every person who comes to us has individual needs and we do our best to guide everyone into great jobs.
"Our 100 days campaign still has a way to go, so we plan on adding more new taxpayers to the list and smashing the 100 jobs in 100 days."
Key to Nova's success has been its focus on meeting the individual needs and aspirations of job-seeker clients, as well as the willingness of employers to make a difference by taking on employees with a disability.
Ms Spindler says she was satisfied Nova was able to place the 17 clients in work.
The group included Jeanette, who loves her new role with Quality Vending in Seven Hills. The job gives her the opportunity to travel around Sydney.
Ashley is another Nova client who is pleased to have secured employment as an usher at the Regent Cinema in Richmond.
Working in aged daycare at Riverstone Community Centre has been rewarding for Cassie while getting a job at Crazies cafe in Richmond was a positive move for client Ailsa.
Ms Spindler said all Nova's clients received whatever support they needed.

NOVA Employment & Training is a disability employment service, with most of the funding coming through the federal government’s Department of Social Services.
Nova helps employers find motivated and keen employees and helps people with disabilities find and develop their careers.
Nova is an ‘open employment’ program. It finds job-seekers work in the general community with the same working conditions as people who do not have a disability.
Nova is not a sheltered workshop or ‘business service’.
