Kiwi basketballer Steven Adams completed another double-double as the Oklahoma City Thunder downed the San Antonio Spurs.
Oklahoma finished strongly in the final quarter to complete a 114-108 victory over the NBA champions in a Christmas Day clash before 18,581 fans in San Antonio.
Adams, the Thunder's starting centre, scored 16 points and pulled off 15 rebounds in his 31min 29sec stint. It was his second double-double in the last three games.
The 21-year-old Rotorua product shot five from eight from the floor and nailed six of his 12 free-throws. Adams also had one assist, two tunovers, two steals and three blocks.
Oklahoma took out the first quarter of the Western Conference Finals rematch, 29-27 and edged the Spurs 21-20 in the second quarter. But San Antonio came storming back in the third quarter. But Oklahoma dominated the final stanza, scoring 38 points to San Antonio's 29.
The Thunder are now 10th in the Western Conference with a 14-win 16-loss record. San Antonio are seventh, after 18 victories and 12 defeats.
The Washington Wizards beat the New York Knicks, 102-91, in an Eastern Conference game.
