A man in his 30s has died after being shot multiple times in Sydney's south west on Sunday night.
Police and paramedics were called to a home on Fifth Avenue in Condell Park about 6:10pm after reports of shots being fired.
They found a critically-wounded man, aged in his thirties, lying outside a house. He was treated at the scene and rushed to hospital, but died a short time later.
NSW Police established a crime scene and have closed the road to the public while they continue investigating.
The identity of the attacker, who fled the scene, is unknown. Police are interested in speaking with the driver of a car which left the scene shortly after the shooting.
Police from Bankstown Local Area Command have formed a homicide investigation in conjunction with detectives from the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad.
There are reports the man was shot five times in the chest. No motive has been established yet.
