HILLS netballers Kristina Brice and Paige Hadley have been selected in the under-21 Australian team to tour the Caribbean in November.
The Australian Institute of Sport pair were picked in a squad of 14 to play Trinidad and Tobago's senior and under-21 teams, followed by a three-game series against the under-21 Jamaican team.
Brice was thrilled with the call-up, saying the experience would help her prepare for next year's World Youth Cup in Glasgow.
"Trinidad and Tobago have also qualified for the World Youth Cup next year so it will be a good opportunity to go out and test ourselves," Brice said.
The Australians depart for the Caribbean on November 14.
■ Baulkham Hills Netball Association duo Lauren Mellenbergh and Samantha Poolman were unable to claim the Australian Netball League title with their NSW Waratahs teammates over the weekend.
The girls took on a Southern Force outfit after disposing of the Western Sting in their semi final 46-45.
Things didn't start well for NSW, finishing the first quarter down by three goals. In the second quarter the Force again dominated and by half time had extended their deficit to six goals.
Any hopes of a comeback were dashed after the break as the Force dominated the third term 15 goals to six.
NSW did outscore their opponents in the last quarter, but the damage had already been done.
Final score, NSW, 36 and Southern Force, 50.
