Woman dragged in Castle Hill robbery

A woman, 21, was injured during  an attempted robbery at a Castle Hill taxi rank early on Sunday morning.

Police said the woman was waiting at the rank outside Castle Towers on Old Northern Road, Castle Hill, about 1.40am when a man grabbed her shoulder bag, causing her to fall and be dragged along the ground.

Witnesses told police the assailant, and another man, then ran off south along Old Northern Road.

The woman’s left arm was grazed and swollen. 

One man was described as of Caucasian appearance and aged about 18.

He was of skinny build, about 178 centimetres tall and wearing a sky-blue hooded jumper, tan pants and runners.

The other man is described of being of Caucasian appearance and wearing a black jumper and tracksuit pants and runners.

Police said they would be looking at security footage.
