Beaver Galleries: The Loaded Landscape. Australian landscape artist Judy Holding uses the layering of watercolour images to stress the richness and unresolved tensions of the Australian bush. New Morning. As a painter, printmaker and sculptor, artist Dean Bowen creates relationships between these mediums, which often work as an extension of each other. Both until June 12. Belconnen Arts Centre: Permeate: Emerging Artist Support Scheme recipients. Canberra Glassworks: Light Translations. CCAS City: Dreamsake. Artist Jenna Poore's work explores the divide between the conscious and subconscious realms through dream interpretations which ask the viewer to re-evaluate their perception of reality. Nancy Sever Gallery: Etched in the Sun II. PhotoAccess: Cihuateotl's Myth. Mexican-born Canberra artist Octavio Garcia Alvarado uses the chemigram, an alternative darkroom etching technique, to re-imagine ancient images of Mesoamerican culture. An Endless Horizon. Sydney-based emerging photographer Matthew James uses a self-developed photographic process to capture images of the ocean that span a whole role of medium format slide film. Both until June 19. Tuggeranong Arts Centre: Beneath the Bula Smile. A photographic story exploring the lived reality of the women market vendors working at Fiji's Suva Market. The exhibition reflects photographer Eva Schroeder's time spent as a photography intern at UN Women's Fiji office. Consequences.
