SYDNEY FC have cross-town bragging rights in the A-League after defeating the Western Sydney Wanderers 1-0.

Del Piero threatened to open the scoring for most of the game and did so early in the second-half when referee Strebre Delovski awarded him a 52nd minute penalty.
Stepping up to the spot Del Piero slotted the first but had to retake the penalty for player encroachment.
He blasted home his second attempt on the rebound after Covic saved the initial shot.
