A boy, 5, has been taken to hospital after he was struck by a car in Castle Hill.
Police said the boy was in the driveway of his home shortly after 4pm on Thursday when the incident occurred.
The boy’s mother, 41, was believed to be behind the wheel of the car.
The woman started to drive her son to hospital but stopped on Crane Road after seeking advise from NSW ambulance paramedics.
Paramedics arrived soon after to treat the boy.
Footage appears to show the boy being carried into an ambulance before he was taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
Officers from The Hills police station have started inquiries into the incident.
