EZIO De Angelis will bring his show to Castle Hill RSL Club for the second time tomorrow night.
The former corporate services manager's power is less that of a fortune teller and more of a medium.
"It's a psychic medium show, John Edwards style," he said.
"I give messages to the audience and connect with people who have passed on."
De Angelis said while criticism was part of the job for psychics, protractors or non-believers were not his concern.
"It's not my job to convince people," he said. "At the end of the day my job is to help people and provide some validation.
"The proof is in the pudding because I keep on getting invited back to venues."
He believes his job as a medium is to interpret and then relay messages.
But sometimes it's difficult to remove himself from the situation.
"I try to maintain a professional distance but I do get caught up occasionally," he said.
"One time I did a reading for a lady after her son was stabbed through the heart.
"Because he recently crossed over he gave information on what it was like when he died."
Voted psychic of the year by the Australian Psychics Association, De Angelis said communication with people who had died was not as easy as turning a light switch on and off.
"I prepare for about an hour before each reading," he said.
"But the energy builds up for about two days before."
