Featherdale Wildlife Park is offering free entry for kids in the month of July. Proving to be a family favourite for the past 45 years, visitors of all ages can enjoy Australia’s most diverse collection of native animals, including koalas, kangaroos, emus, echidnas, crocs, and loads more. Details: 9am-5pm, 217 Kildare Rd, Doonside. Free for children, $31 adults, family, concession and senior discounts available.

Kids Gardening

Flower Power Garden Centre’s are running free gardening classes where kids can plant, learn and explore in under an hour. Kids will be taken on a guided tour of the nursery where the winter garden colour will capture attention and make learning fun. They’ll get to plant their own seedling and take it home to watch it grow, care and nurture it. Details: 11am weekdays from July 3-14. All materials are provided. Free. Fun4Kids Winter Wonderland

Try two wheels

Introduce your child to balance and control without the use of training wheels. This workshop offers parents skills for supporting their child working towards riding a two-wheel bike. Through fun games children gain skills to glide and stop. With further encouragement families will be able to enjoy riding together.
