Elderly couple threatened by intruders

Three men, one armed with a knife, forced their way into a home in Kellyville last night.

Police said the elderly owners of the Poole Street home were threatened by the balaclava-wearing men when they forced their way through the front door about 9.40pm.

Police said once inside, the men threatened the elderly man and his wife before ransacking the home.

They ran away with the woman’s wallet and some personal belongs.

The elderly couple was not hurt during the incident but are both suffering shock.

Police from The Hills Local Area Command are investigating the matter and would be very keen to speak with anyone in the community that may have some information.
