A Kellyville man, 22, has been charged with mid-range drink driving after he crashed into a tree in Bella Vista.
It is alleged the man was driving on Norwest Boulevard when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree at about 1.40am on Saturday, August 5.
The driver wasn’t injured but the vehicle was damaged and had to be towed.
A roadside breath test revealed a positive result and further breath analysis returned a reading of 0.098.
He was charged and will appear in Parramatta Local Court on September 27.
Drink driver to face court
A Kellyville man will face court after he was charged with high-range drink driving over the weekend.
A concerned member of the public called police after allegedly seeing the man, 25, swerving in and out of lanes on Windsor Road in Baulkham Hills at about 1.30am on Sunday, August 6.
A short time later, officers stopped the vehicle on Golden Grove Avenue in Kellyville and a roadside breath test returned a positive result.
A further breath analysis revealed a reading of 0.177.
The man is due to appear in court on September 27.
Man arrested during search
A man has been charged after he was discovered with MDMA during a search in Castle Hill.
The Normanhurst man, 20, was searched by Hills police during a patrol of a residential subdivision near Heritage Park Drive at about 11.30pm on Friday, August 4.
A search of the man’s wallet discovered a clear resealable bag containing the drug.
The drug was seized and the man was issued a field court attendance notice.
He is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday. August 30.
Man charged over fight
A Kellyville man, 28, has been charged with affray after a fight in Castle Hill last month.
It is believed two men became involved in a fight on Old Castle Road at about 3.15pm on July 26.
Following investigations, detectives arrested the man at Castle Hill police station on Friday, August 4. He is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday. August 16.
