It might be said that a poor workman blames his tools, but having the right tool for the job does make life much easier, especially in the garden.

2. Preparation is key
Preparing your soil is essential to have your plants thrive and survive! It would be pointless to plant in dehydrated soil, so using digging fork, mix in some compost, manure or fertiliser to combine the new with the old. After a few weeks, the soil will be highly enriched and nutritious, ready to help new plants reach optimum growth.
3. Break the ground, not your back
The last thing anyone wants is to sustain an injury from a gardening session, be out of action and end up with an incomplete project. When digging or moving soil, make the tool work for you by keeping your back straight and not lifting the soil higher than necessary. Maintaining good posture will help save energy and reduce any chance of straining your back.
