LiBERAL Party candidate Philip Ruddock is set to become mayor of Hornsby Council.
With more than 75,000 votes counted, Mr Ruddock, who previously served as Immigration Minister, has 47.38 per cent of first-preference votes.
Greens candidate Emma Heyde is in second place with 18.75 per cent of first-preference votes.
While Labor’s Janelle McIntosh sits in third place with 14.95 per cent of the mayoral votes.
Independent candidates Mick Gallagher and Christine Berman sit at 8.71 per cent and 10.21 per cent respectively.
