Dramatic lighting is how the Running In The Shadows tribute band has helped recreate the atmosphere of their musical rock-blues inspiration, Fleetwood Mac.
The band’s Australian Fleetwood Mac Show was established in 2000 by members Gary Stewart and Ursula Cain.
“The songs of Fleetwood Mac is very well written music, and they have too many songs to cover in one show, although we do our best to get through all of it,” Stewart said.
Stewart began to sing when he joined a band in his teens and at 18-years-old, he knew he wanted to become a performer.
“I was only a backing singer back then,” the 46-year-old said.
“Growing up, my family had a piano and I would often try to copy the music that was playing on the stereo in the same room. Back then it was a lot of ABBA.”
Stewart and Cain first met in Christchurch, New Zealand, when Stewart was on the hunt for a singer for the band.
“People kept telling us that Ursula should sing more as Stevie Nicks because she is so much like her,” he said.
