ORANGE Blossom Festival will come to a close this weekend when the Norwest Community Festival is held on Sunday at Bella Vista Farm.

The event wraps up the month-long community celebrations that recognises The Hills region’s history, the local community and its achievements.

Norwest Community Festival has been run by Mulpha Norwest for years, but this is the first time it has partnered with The Hills Council’s Orange Blossom Festival.

It is also being held at Bella Vista Farm for the first time as the event has outgrown its previous locations.

Event organiser Tuula Schaeffer said there will be plenty on offer to keep families entertained.

“The event is something Muplha Norwest puts on to give back to the community, and it is a great opportunity to partner with the Orange Blossom Festival,” Ms Schaeffer said.

“There will be more rides this year and we will have community games such as three-legged races and tug of war.

“There will be plenty of food, ice creams and coffee, and Friends of Bella Vista Farm will be selling scones and running tours of the farm.”

Entry is free, and people can purchase a ride pass for $5. There will also be an animal farm where families can check out young farm animals.

  • Norwest Community Festival runs from 11am to 3pm. Baulkham Hills Art Show is on this Saturday and Sunday at Glenhaven Community Centre.
