THREE men from The Hills will drive along dirt tracks and bring smiles to children in rural areas affected by cancer as part of Camp Quality’s esCarpade adventure.
The drive, which will start in Port Macquarie and finish in Toowoomba, will go off the main roads with 65 per cent of the course on dirt roads.
Money raised from esCarpade will help Camp Quality’s work to support children impacted by cancer, either having the disease themselves or having a loved one diagnosed with cancer.
Maraylya resident Ben Morson, who has teamed up with Brett Astill and John Boston, said he is looking forward to the event.
“I got on board last year and loved it, so I wanted to do it again this year,” Mr Morson said.
“We all had a great time and it supports a good cause.
“We have a 1987 Ford Fairlane which goes alright. Most of the cars have V8 engines and we have a V6, but we’ve got plenty of room.
“Personally I have had two close friends’ children who have had cancer – Camp Quality was an amazing support to their families during their toughest times.”

The trio will host a couple of fundraisers to help support Camp Quality before they begin the drive on October 22.
They had a golf day earlier this year, and will have a movie night at Event Cinemas Castle Hill and a trivia night at Maraylya Community Hall.
“Any support Hills locals can give us – big or small, will really help kids growing up with cancer have every opportunity to thrive. Our themed car will be flying the flag for The Hills along the route in October, so we’d really appreciate the fundraising support,” Mr Morson said.
Last year, the trio were part of a six-car Team Hawkesbury that raised $90,000, and the esCarpade helped raise $1 million for Camp Quality.
The trivia night will be on Saturday, October 7 at 6pm, while the movie night will start at 6pm on Tuesday, October 10.
