Baulkham Hills alumni Tayla Fraser and Jenny O’Keeffe have been honoured at the 2017 Netball NSW State Dinner.

O’Keeffe was awarded the Margaret Corbett OAM Coaches Award in recognition for her State League coaching excellence.

Fraser, who now plays for the UTS St George Sparks, was awarded the Marj Groves AM Scholarship for an outstanding NSW Institute of Sport netballer.

Netball NSW president Wendy Archer said the sport had had a huge year in 2017.

“Netball has been front and centre of not just the NSW sporting landscape in 2017, but of Australia’s too,” she said.

“I would like to congratulate all of tonight’s winners. Their awards were hard earned and reward commitment, passion, excellence and teamwork – the core values which drive Netball NSW.”

NSW Swifts midcourter Maddy Proud won the night’s main award, the Super Netball Player of the Year.
