A group of schoolies has posted gloating videos on social media showing the damage to their hotel room on the Gold Coast.
The footage shows fist-shaped holes in pillars, large pieces of plasterboard ripped from walls and bottles and cans strewn across the room.
Queensland police confirmed a wilful damage complaint had been made by Mantra Sun City in Surfers Paradise on Saturday morning and said investigations were ongoing.
A hotel spokeswoman said an "isolated incident" had occurred during the early hours of Saturday.
"As soon as the property was made aware of the incident, we acted quickly to arrange for the perpetrators to leave the premises and be collected by their families," the spokeswoman said.
"It is disappointing this has occurred because schoolies have been very well behaved this year.
"We are continuing to work with local police on this matter."
Police said they received the complaint from the hotel soon after Gold Coast District Inspector Greg Baade declared schoolies celebrations on the Gold Coast "seem to get better every year".
Arrest numbers were down compared to previous years and there were no arrests for assault or violence during the week of partying this year.
Inspector Baade said only three school leavers were arrested on Friday, the final night of celebrations, and that police were "very happy" with the behaviour.
This brought total arrests for the week to 66, which is lower than last year's 71, but significantly higher than the 37 schoolies who felt the cold steel of handcuffs in 2015.
