Henriques claimed three wickets in four balls, including the key scalp of Callum Ferguson, as South Australia's frail middle order folded meekly.
Cruising at 2-133, the Redbacks lost six wickets in 32 balls to limp to the tea break on 8-151.
Henriques has the outstanding figures of 4-2 from five overs.
