MENTION The Bold and the Beautiful and Ridge Forrester is one of the first characters that comes to mind.
Ronn Moss — who played Ridge for 25 years on the American TV soap — is coming to Sydney in November with US rock band Player, best known for hit single Baby Come Back, of which Moss was a founding bass player and vocalist in Los Angeles during the 1970s.
And Moss is bringing film footage to Sydney to reveal details about his time on The Bold and the Beautiful.
"It's been years since I've been to Australia," Moss told the St Marys Star from Los Angeles.
"This is going to be a different tour for me. The cool thing about it is that I'll be with my band. This is the first time we're going to play in Australia."
He has lost count of the times he's come to Australia but still hasn't ticked off his ambition to dive on the Great Barrier Reef.
"I have a wonderful relationship with Australians that I hope is still there," he said.
"I get their sense of humour of 'taking the piss' of each other. I don't take myself too seriously. I grew up in Hollywood so I was raised with a lot of bullshit."
Moss promises an intimate affair for fans, which will start with an acoustic performance from Player.
He will share never-seen before photos and footage in the second half of the show.
"Not even the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful have seen them," Moss said.
He was one of the four original cast when he left The Bold and the Beautiful in 2012.
"I don't miss the workload but I do miss the people, who became like a family to me," he said.
"I couldn't do the workload any more."
And what does he think of Thorsten Kaye, who now plays Ridge?
"The same actor should have been given another part to let him create his own character.
"Too much has been expected of him.
"Ridge should have never been replaced but that's the way it is."
Ronn Moss and Player will be at Wenty Leagues Club on November 6 (Bookings: 8868 9200), Rooty Hill RSL on November 14 (9625 5500) and the Castle Hill RSL on November 28 (8858 4800). Tickets: $50.
