She's known for her curves as much as for her role in TV show Mad Men but don't dare call Christina Hendricks "full figured".
When Sun-Herald Fashion Editor Kate Waterhouse referred to Hendricks as "full figured" during an interview, the flame haired star took offence and shut down all questions referring to body image.
When she resumed the interview, Hendricks said off camera: "I think calling me full-figured is just rude."
She is celebrated for her hourglass figure and Wikipedia even lists Hendricks's cultural influence as "a role model for full-figured women".
She hasn't shied away from body image questions before. When US website Health.com asked her about women admiring her body type, she replied: "It's such a compliment, because of all those times I had agents who were, like, 'You have to lose some weight,' and all of a sudden, people are celebrating it. It's like: 'Oh, thank you! Thank you for letting me be me.'"
At a cocktail party at Sokyo in Pyrmont, in Sydney last night, Hendricks launched the Specsavers 2012 Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition. She admits she wears reading glasses at home but is not seen wearing frames on the red carpet.
Questions about body image were not banned but sources say 2Day FM announcer Kyle Sandilands was warned "not to ask any questions about her breasts".
