A series of serious car crashes across New South Wales over the weekend have left three people dead and resulted in multiple people being taken to hospital.
On Sunday afternoon, a woman was killed after the car she was a passenger in hit a tree and burst into flames between Junee and Gundagai in the Riverina region just before 2.30pm.
The male driver was taken to Canberra Hospital with critical injuries.
On Saturday afternoon, a 34-year-old truck driver was killed when the truck he was driving left the Newell Highway and crashed into a paddock in the state's central west.
It is understood the B-double prime mover, carrying a full freight load, entered the wrong side of the highway while driving southwards, before travelling down a steep embankment into a paddock.
Emergency services attended the crash site near Gilgandra, but the driver died at the scene.
Meanwhile there were four crashes in and around Sydney that resulted in hospitalisations.
At 10.30pm on Saturday, two cars collided on Henry Lawson Drive at Padstow, with one driver allegedly returning a positive roadside breath test.
The 33-year-old female driver allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.176, more than 3.5 times the legal limit of 0.05.

She was arrested and charged with high-range drink driving, and her licence suspended.
The 76-year-old man driving the other car was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
In a second crash an hour later in neighbouring suburb Condell Park, two people were taken to hospital after their cars collided at an intersection and one crashed into a fence.
The two cars collided around 11.30pm, sending a car driven by an 83-year-old woman into the fence of a nearby house.
She was treated at the scene and taken to Liverpool Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A teenage passenger in the other car was taken to hospital with a minor injury.
The accidents came after an afternoon of heavy rain, but it was unclear whether rain was a factor in any of the crashes, police said.
In another crash soon after midnight, near Brighton-Le-Sands, three people were taken to hospital after two cars collided on The Grand Parade.
A 41-year-old driver, and two passengers aged in their 20s, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The other driver, a 22-year-old man, tested negative for alcohol, police say.
In another incident on Saturday afternoon, two teenagers were rescued by emergency services from a car near Wollondilly, after crashing into a power pole around 4.30pm.
One of the men, 19, suffered a broken leg, pelvis and lacerations, and was taken to Liverpool Hospital by ambulance.
The other, also 19, was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital.
Early on Saturday morning, a 38-year-old woman was killed when her northbound Hyundai Getz crossed to the other side of the road and struck an oncoming car on the Pacific Highway at Cams Wharf in Lake Macquarie.
Police investigations into each incident are ongoing.
